Verulamium Park will be playing host to several of our home games this season (2022).
As it’s a busy public park with paid parking, here’s some useful notes on access to the ground.
Arriving By Car
Access to the park from the M25 is Junction 21a – follow the signs to St Albans.
Access to the park from M1 coming from the south is Junction 6 – follow signs to St Albans City Centre.
Access to the park from M1 coming from the north is Junction 7 – follow signs to St Albans City Centre.
Parking at Verulamium Park
Main parking is Westminster Lodge car park. Parking is free for the first two hours then a charge applies via pay and display. Charge £6.20 for all day. Pay by phone is available.

Secondary parking is available at the other end of the park (St Michael’s). It’s a longer walk to the pitch but cheaper for all day parking at £4.40.

Free street parking may be available on either King Harry Lane (link to map) (access the park through the woods or via pedestrian crossing on King Harry Lane) or Mayne Avenue (link to map) (same access point).
Cricket Pitch Location
Once in the park, from Westminster Lodge parking point, head west past the golf course and running track on the footpath and the cricket pitch will be in front of you when you get to a crossroads in the path.
From St Michaels Car Park, head south keeping the tennis courts and children’s play area on your left, and the pitch will be on the right.
From Mayne Avenue/King Harry Lane head into the Park at the entrance by the pedestrian crossing. Keep the Roman wall on your left. At the end of the wall, turn left and the pitch will be in front of you.
There is no pavilion, but there will be some sort of shelter in case of bad weather and there are public toilets and cafes in the park. Bring a camp chair to sit on.
